The original B K Butler Tube Driver: a 4558 buffer and gain stage drive both halves of a 12AX7 in cascade, then a Hi/Lo tone stack and output level. Powered from a 24VAC center-tapped transformer with split +13V/-14V rails and a 16V heater/LED rail. The author shows it as the core design behind the Overlord.

The tracer's notes on the drawing: R7 and R8 would be expected to be 47K (the unit may have been modded for lower-gain tubes such as 12AT7/12AU7); C2 should be non-polarized, a film cap where possible; the main difference from the newer version is R14, which goes from 2.2K to 22K. V1 can be a 12AX7, 12AT7 or 12AU7 per the drawing. The drawing suggests rewiring for true bypass.
