A modified Big Muff: a 2N5089 booster with a Pre control ahead of the usual two diode-clipping stages, a Big Muff tone stack with a Mids control, and a recovery stage. The Focus control works as a bass blend that sets how much low end reaches the clipping stages; the author likes this, as cutting bass before clipping improves clarity. It is the other half of the Blackout Twosome.
