Some people prefer simplicity - less is more. Some like to tweak their knobs all night - this one's for you... At its core this has similarities to a bubble font green Russian Big Muff but with a few tricks inside. At the front of the circuit is a LPB pre-boost, enabling you to whack up the gain level and really push the fuzz circuit. This Pre boost is complemented by the Focus pot which controls how much of the boosted frequency range gets through to the Fuzz. The final extra control is a Mids pot, which does what you'd expect - shifts the midrange so you can tweak the tone to perfection. Not everyone likes the characteristic mid scoop after all. That's a lot of controls on the face of a 1590B, but it works well, and even the most sausage-fingered of you should manage with the right choice of knobs - keep them small! Pots are only 17.5mm apart. Now the downside - the board requires a small hack. Careless capacitor placement on the schematic means one cap needs to be bodged in. It's really simple - don't sweat it - check out the main image. The kit is supplied with vertical-mount pots which have round shafts, so you'll need set-screw fitting knobs. Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included. Builds are only available with full kits including enclosures.
