Phillip Bryant's reference drawing of the classic four-transistor Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi: an input gain stage, two diode-clipping gain stages, the passive Big Muff tone stack and a recovery stage. The post includes it as the Big Muff Kurt Cobain used while recording Nevermind, praising its smooth, compressed distortion.
