The Soft Sustain Drive uses a pair of Single Op Amps with clipping from the signal path to ground. It’s about as versatile as any drive pedal can be – from clean boost right through to serious distortion. The great part about this circuit is that it’s so easy to tweak! Each section of the signal path really allows the user to tailor the drive to their own desired sound for the input gain, the clipping, the tone stack, and the makeup gain section.
