From the vendor
An optical compressor built around a VTL5C3 vactrol, with emitter-follower buffers that have current sources in their emitters, an OP275 audio path, an LM358 side chain with double rectification, and a post-compressor 'tilt' EQ taken from an early-1970s Quad stereo preamp that pivots around 900Hz. A bicolor LED shows the depth of compression. The post notes that the current-source buffers and paralleled caps are not really needed for guitar.
The tilt EQ bypass resistors R13 and R14 are not needed and can be removed without an audible difference.
