From the vendor
The first British fuzz, Gary Hurst's take on the Maestro FZ-1: three PNP germanium transistors on a -9V supply, with an emitter follower into two gain stages. The Attack pot sets the bias of Q2. The post calls it the most temperamental circuit the author has built, and points to the Geofex Zonk Machine article for biasing tips.
Sinner's turret layout uses a 180K bias resistor on Q2; the post says most builders use 470K there, and the layout itself recommends 470K for better bias.
