Lovepedal's one-knob Woodrow, sold as a cranked 5E3 Tweed tone, is in the author's view just an Electra Distortion: a single 2N5088 common-emitter stage with collector-to-base feedback bias and a bypassed emitter resistor, followed by a pair of 1N914 diodes clipping to ground and a 500K volume pot.
