Introduction

It is well known that the Angry Charlie has become an iconic figure over the years. Its ability to breathe JCM800 tones convincingly and accurately into any rig has made it a popular choice for guitarists of all genres. That’s why, when the improved version came in, it was no shock for anyone.

Unlike many other British amp-in-a-box pedals, the Super Angry Carlos sports an active 3-band tone stack, just like the Marshalls, helping nail those warm yet searing tones and boundless sustain. If you are hungry for high-gain overdrive/distortion with a British flavor, the Super Angry Carlos will change your life. Well, your gear life.

You can make this pedal sound bluesy and vintage; just turn the drive control down and get surprised by the result! Go from bluesy Hendrix-like breakup to high-gain Brit tones by just changing the Drive knob parameters. Drive and Volume control interact the same as a master volume amp head. You can back off your guitar’s volume to control your gain levels without losing clarity.

In this improved version of the Angry Charlie, we also included a diode toggle switch to choose between tight compressed silicon, crunchy diodes or an open position without clipping at all. It also features an internal Presence control that makes it suitable for any guitar and setup.
