Inspired by The SOLOIST, the stand-alone tube screamer side of the King Tone Duellist.

This pedal is a modern reinvention of the classic Ibanez Tube Screamer 808 with new powerful features that make it the ultimate overdrive capable of pushing your sound to the limit.

Introduction

The Duellist is a two-in-one overdrive pedal, and for those who have it, it’s almost always the same experience: they absolutely love it but only use the Ibanez Tube Screamer 808 side. And who can blame them? After all, the 808 is already considered the best overdrive out there, and the version made by Jesse Davey and his King Tone crew adds extra features that make it unfairly good. Side-B, containing the BluesBreaker, never had a chance.

As expected, the guys from King Tone distilled the juiciest section of The Duellist’s circuit and launched The SOLOIST. The result? A board that elevates the level of control of your overdrive tone, offering tone-tweaking capabilities over the limit with the use of independent high and low-frequency controls and the option for massively increased headroom at 18v operation.

Change ‘Drive’ and ‘Tone’ parameters to add a glassy, hollow, tube’y bite to your tone. ‘Body’ adds Back in the Low End That Many Overdrive Lack (this replaces the FAT control found on the Duellist).
