The Hype-R-Fuzz is a clone of the Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz. We reverse engineered the actual pedal and with the factory schematic to get it right. This PCB has the original component footprints and some of the components are hard to find be the instructions have working alternatives.
The Hyper Fuzz is growing in popularity and is a great project and a fun fuzz. The Hype-R-Fuzz has three modes: Fuzz 1, Fuzz 2 and Gain Boost. Fuzz 1 is used for a "booming" sound, Fuzz 2 for treble sound and Gain boost when the FZ-2 is used together with amp distortion.
