NOTE: We've temporarily made this available without the three NPN germanium transistors required, as we have none and people are asking. You'll need to source some to complete the build.

One of the most often requested kits, and we've finally got around to it. It's a doozy.

Take one deliciously dirty Muff-type fuzz with added germanium growl and spit. Stick the Tone Ripper hhybrid Si/Ge Tone Bender style fuzz after that. Evil awaits. But wait... evil will have to... wait. For now we stomp on the middle switch and POW! Absolutely ear-splitting octave-up into the mix. If you found the Death multi-pedal a handful you'd better get some fire-proof gloves on for this one.

The original has controls for the Muff and Ripper, with the octave as a simple on/off affair. We've done the same as we did with the Death pedal, and added an Octave Blend control so you can tame the screaming beast if you wish. Of course, you can keep it as per the original and still keep all the pots board-mounted. We're nice like that.

The Octave section has a buffered input to keep things running smoothly when using the blend function, but you can build it without this is you're doing away with that control. We'll supply the parts anyway, honestly - the buffer works nicely. Keep it in.

Now then... options... 1590XX enclosure is as per the original. The footswitch spacing is useable if a little tight. If you wear size 14 boots this probably isn't the one for you. The 1590DD has well spaced footswitches, though they're a little closer to the knobs. The control layout isn't as aesthetically pleasing (check the pics), but it works.

We've designed footswitch daughterboards specially for this and the Death Drive kits with the LED above the footswitch. Keeps things neat.

These kits will be supplied with Lumberg jacks rather than Neutrik as they fit above the pots with more room to spare.

The kit is supplied with vertical-mount pots which have round shafts, so you'll need set-screw fitting knobs.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components (depending on selected options), pots. Does not include footswitch daughterboards.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and appropriate daughterboard/components for your selected bypass type (see Downloads section for details of those), jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.
