For all the Rory Gallagher fans out there, here's a neat offshoot of one of his bread and butter tone shapers, The S. Hawk Ltd. Hawk II Tonal Expander. This is actually lifted from the Pistol Slapper, which is mostly based on the Hawk, but for some subtle changes that add flexibility, including a footswitchable boost fuction, all the while reducing overall noise. Just a great booster.

We've been able to make this work with inductors that are still readily available, so no scouring EBay for vaporware necessary.
