Proteus is a PCB and faceplate for a four transistor fuzz built around 2N5088s. It is based on MicTester's Si Tone Bender, the silicon Tone Bender that Fuzz Dog sells as the PitBull. A common emitter boost stage drives a Fuzz Face style pair, and an emitter follower drives a passive tone control that blends between two low-pass filters. Girth sets how much bass gets into the fuzz, Bias and Volts let you take it from smooth to sputtery and starved.
The faceplate art is the Proteus emblem from Andrea Alciato's Emblemata, and the moon in its sky lights up with the status LED.
