From the vendor
One of Tim Escobedo's circuit snippets: a single bipolar transistor gain stage whose collector load is a J201 JFET acting as a current regulator, which raises the gain enough for big fuzz tones, with a pair of silicon diodes in the feedback. It draws under 10uA from a 9V battery. The post compares it to his Syrupp booster and recommends it for Big Muff-ish tones.
The 220k input resistor can be swapped for a pot for some gain control. Q1 can be any medium to high gain transistor.
