Joe Gagan's widely variable boost, fuzz and distortion: a PNP silicon emitter-follower buffer into a dual-gang tone network, a 2N3906 gain stage and a germanium 2SB54 stage, with a clipping diode pair before the volume. A 3PDT switch selects single-stage mode, where it can sound close to a Rangemaster; the post calls it a favorite of gain freaks.
