A vintage Jen-made booster sold as the Gretsch Playboy Harmon Booster: a chain of silicon NPN stages, several of them buffers, with a Big Muff style tone control between two emitter followers before the volume. Nightraven describes it as an overdrive that borders on fuzz with the controls dimed, which he prefers to Tube Screamers.
