From the vendor

Fulltone's PlimSoul combines soft and hard clipping. The first op-amp stage is a standard overdrive with asymmetric silicon diode clipping in its feedback loop; the second stage's Stage 2 control is a dual-gang pot that raises that stage's gain while lowering the resistance in series with a pair of red LEDs clipping to Vcc/2, so the LEDs glow with the distortion. A Hi-Cut, Level and a C1815 output buffer follow.
