Colin Raffel's 2006 revision of the Parallel Universe: a TL072 input amplifier with a gain of 3 and an output buffer around the LM386 oscillating fuzz, a wider-range gain control, an effects send and return between the input amp and the LM386, Mark Hammer's 'stupidly wonderful' tone and level control, and a better Freq control. It ranges from Big Muff-like overdrive to loud oscillating fuzz.

R7 can be lowered for more gain in the input amp. C7 sets the upper frequency of the Freq pot and C8 the lower. Send and Return are switched mono jacks; wire them together if you want no effects loop, or feed the Return to skip the input amplifier. It only oscillates with the gain knob turned up; otherwise the oscillation just makes crazy fuzz.
