Catalinbread's overdrive inspired by the tweed 5E3 amp: two cascaded 2N5457 'mu-amp' stages with a gain and tone section between them, much like the Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret. The post credits the deliberately mis-biased first stage with its asymmetrical clipping harmonics.
