The blog author's own low-gain overdrive, which he describes as an enhancer that makes a good overdrive tone better. It came from a challenge by Bjorn of BJF to build something that sounds like the BJF Honey Bee: a 2SK117/2SK170 JFET input with a germanium MP14B, Schottky and MOSFET clipping set by the Compression control, 1N4001 diodes in the Shimmer network, and a BS170 MOSFET output stage. The Compression and Shimmer controls interact strongly with the gain, clipping and overall feel.
Point B goes to the input of the MOSFET (BS170) stage.

Fixes to the schematic, from the post
- The cap from point B to ground is drawn as '47K'; it is actually a 47n capacitor (C8).
Check before you build · 2 values the reader of this schematic was not sure of
- Harald Sabro's vero parts list has a 150n cap and only one 10n, where the schematic shows two 10n caps (C4 and C9); one of them may be 150n on the vero.
- The germanium transistor is written 'MP14b, hFE ~40' on the schematic (MP14B on the vero).
