A Tube Screamer (JRC4558, 2SC1815 input and output buffers) with a three-position toggle that selects the clipping in the feedback loop: TS808-style silicon diodes, no diodes (diode lift), or a pair of red LEDs for a 'Marshall' setting. The post jokes about its familiarity and suggests comparing it with the Clay Jones Overdrive, since Clay Jones drew this schematic.

  • Which clipping network each switch position selects is not fully clear on the drawing: the notes give up = TS808, center = diode lift, down = 'Marshall' (the LEDs).
  • The clipping diode network is drawn as one 1N914 one way and two 1N914 in series the other way; the vero layout's parts list has three 1N914s and two red LEDs, consistent with this.
  • The layouts in image 2 use different pot values and tapers (vero: Drive B1M, Tone B20K, Level A100K; PCB: A500K, B20K, B100K) and a 200p feedback capacitor where the schematic has 51p.
