Boneyard Hoof is Chuck D. Bones' reworking of the EarthQuaker Devices Hoof, a Big Muff with germanium transistors and LEDs in the clipping stages. Chuck revisited the design on the breadboard: low-gain germanium transistors in the clipping stages keep the distortion from ever getting harsh, the tone stack values were changed so the Tone and Mids (Shift) controls are usable over their whole range, a Voice (Fat) switch at the input clears up the Big Muff's bottom end for humbuckers, and the Volume control moved ahead of a JFET last stage so the output never saturates.
Naegele Audio laid out this PCB for Chuck's circuit and shared the gerbers in Chuck's thread. The silkscreen calls it the Pink Panther.
