Project overview

This preamp pedal is inspired by Bogner Überschall, a legend in the world of high-end, high-gain guitar amplification. This updated version of our classic Uberknall comes with an amp tone stack section that will grant you a new level of frequency control and a High Gain MODE option that gives you even more destructive power!

Introduction

As soon as we released the Uberknall, it was an instant success. No wonder, the board is inspired by the Bogner Uberschall Tube amp, the monstrous metal beast based on the fantastic Bogner Überschall Tube Head, one of-if not the most- brutal amps out there!

By popular demand, the PCB Mania team decided to make an improved rendition that adds an Amp Tone Stack section that features Treble, Bass, Midrange, and Presence in addition to the Volume and Gain knobs present in our original Uberknall Preamp. When making your build, you can also choose between the standard version and the High-Gain Mode, an option for those who have nothing to lose and everything to GAIN!
