Project overview
PCB inspired by the 1981 Inventions LVL overdrive a full range overdrive pedal. It’s a pro-level, low-gain tool that brings a fresh and unique circuit to the overdrive game. By mixing some gentle clipping and an op-amp boost, this pedal gets a one-of-a-kind sound and gain setup.
Introduction
The brains behind this pedal are Matthew Hoopes, the guitarist from Relient K and the mastermind behind the renowned DRV distortion, and John Snyder of Electronic Audio Experiments, a circuit designer. They’ve been cooking up this pedal for four years.
What’s cool is that it works amazingly well with bass, and that’s what “FULL-RANGE” means. Plus, you can stack it with other pedals, making most fuzz sound better when you put it after this one and improving most overdrives when you put it before. It’s also awesome when you hit the front end with a bit of a boost!
