Spring Reverb

The Mod Electronics Vortex is a compact, pedalboard-friendly spring reverb kit which can be powered by a standard 9V pedal supply. The Vortex comes with one MN-8BB2C1B reverb tank which can be mounted directly on the enclosure, but the Vortex can also be used with larger reverb tanks such as 4BB3C1D or 9BB2C1B. The Vortex has a REVERB (amount) and DWELL control like many vintage spring reverb units, and it also has a "DRY" toggle switch which allows for the dry signal to be disabled for use as an auxiliary effect or for extreme spacey sounds. The reverb effect can be enabled/disabled via the "WET" toggle switch on the main unit, or the IGNITE footswitch can be connected for quiet remote switching (as reverb tanks are sensitive to vibrations). The Vortex is the fourth entry in the Nexus Series from Mod Electronics. This series features a PCB base rather than the Mod Electronics’ traditional point-to-point wiring kits to offer builders a wider variety of effects to build. The Vortex runs on 9VDC, and can be daisy-chained with other 9VDC effect units.
