The Axion is a delay/chorus pedal based around the PT2399 delay chip. In delay mode, the pedal sounds warm and analog-like at low to moderate delay times. At higher settings, some of the PT2399's noisy lo-fi character comes through. The wet signal and feedback paths have different levels of filtering to keep higher frequency noise content at bay even at extreme settings (up to 1000ms). In chorus mode, the delay time is locked and modulated by the triangle LFO for classic chorus sounds with speed, depth, and wet amount controls. The Axion has a fairly low parts count, and is a relatively simple and compact build despite being a fully featured chorus and modulated delay pedal. The board is mounted to the enclosure via the potentiometers and switches.
