Crimson Drive is a dynamic overdrive built around one germanium transistor and two germanium diodes. It creates an open tone with excellent overtones and a pleasant "wet grit" that cannot be reproduced on more common FET or op amp overdrive pedals. When you turn the knob, the gain can go from a booster to a thundering overdrive, which sounds similar to vintage tube amps when the tubes are fully driven. True bypass. Power supply: regulated mains adapter 9 VDC. The dimensions of the main PCB 50 x 25 mm. Enclosure type: Hammond 1590B.
