From the vendor
The Maxon OD808 is a natural and soft overdrive effect with the character of a tube amp. This preserves the original sound of the instrument. Very often used as a "heater" for boosting of the amplifier. Timeless classic! In addition to the reference, the Amp Warmer has the following options: clipping type switch (symmetrical/asymmetrical), clipping diode selection (silicon/LED), Voice mode (general gain boost with an emphasis on the lower mid). Bypass type switching (true/buffer). Power supply: regulated mains adapter 9 VDC. The dimensions of the main PCB 50 x 46 mm. Enclosure type: Hammond 1590B.
