FuzzPup Pep Box

This is part of our FuzzPup range of circuits designed for 1590A builds. They're not especially difficult, but working in a confined space can be fiddly. Take heed.

Of course there's nothing stopping you using these PCBs for 'standard' builds. They're Direct Connect compatible.

Silicon version of the WEM Pep Box, which replaced the earlier germanium version in 1966.

Lovely full-on trebly fuzz tones.

We've included the option of an external bias control as tweaking this can give you some great gated, dying battery type sounds. If you'd rather stick with a two knob unit the bias is an internal set-and-forget trimmer.

Comes with a separate daughterboard to easily mount the pots to the main PCB.

Pots have round shafts so you'll need set-screw fitting knobs. Pot spacing is 18mm.

Partial kit: PCB, all board-mounted components, pots.

Full kit: As above, plus footswitch and daughterboard, jack sockets, DC socket, battery snap, hook-up wire, LED.

Enclosure (pre-drilled) is available as an option with full kits, and will not take a battery. Knobs are not included.

Builds are only available with full kits including enclosures. Please choose appropriate knobs.

Supplied with 9mm pots (round shaft)
