Zonk II (Germanium)

From the post
The typical Zonk II circuit is a silicon 2-transistor fuzz, but there was also a unique 2-transistor germanium circuit in at least one surviving unit which was shared to the D*A*M forum[1]. To the best of our abilities, we have drawn the original layout and schematic of that germanium version here. The circuit is similar, but not identical, to the silicon version. Original potentiometer values are unknown. The volume pot value will affect the output high pass filtering (500K would let more low-end out). The fuzz pot value will affect the bias. With a 1k pot, this unit biases to ~Q_{2C} \approx -5\text{V}~ with the following transistor specs, measured with a DCA75 (hfe / leakage): [1] fuzzlight. “Sola Sound Zonk II (Data Dump)” stompboxes.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8081.
